AFAIK nagios handles this as follows:
If you are in a contactgroup of a service, you are allowed to see this
service
If you are in a contactgroup of a host, you are allowed to see this host
+ all services of that host
That's Nagios default.
But I've seen a patch a long time ago in the deep net to eleminate the
"+ all services" behavior.
