Is there instructions to install plugins?

nagios community,

I'm new to nagios and I do not fully understand how to install nagios
plugins. I have configured a couple of servers with the default plugins, and
I would like to configure check_ad plugin with out windows 2003 PDC. Can
anyone provide me with insight?
