Network and machine resource consumption for Nagios

Apologies for the upcoming non-answer, but...

Nagios is very configurable and customizable, and any overhead on either
the client or server is completely dependent on what you've configured
it to check, and how you're checking it.

In the absence of any knowledge about what that might be, it's really
impossible to come up with even a wildly inaccurate ballpark figure.
