Yes :). You may get a few warnings about using deprecated
configuration directives on startup or if you run 'nagios -v
/path/to/nagios.cfg' but you can do this (I did this not too long
ago). Make sure you don't just re-install and then walk away though,
Nagios 3 has a number of new configuration directives that can really
help improve performance, especially for larger installations.
