check_disk question

My check_disk seems to be returning negative values for monitoring a  
netapp filer from a Leopard machine:

[amoran_local at nenc035] ~$ /opt/local/libexec/nagios/check_disk --version
check_disk v1793 (nagios-plugins 1.4.10)
[amoran_local at nenc035] ~$ df -h /opt/itms_f40v6

If there some obvious flag I'm missing?   I haven't tried updating my  
plugins to the latest, but I suppose that is in order.
