Custom Variable not working.

Hi all,

I'd like to have a custom variable in my contact definitions for the
contacts timezone.
Nagios docs say that it must begin with an underscore, so I've named it...
_timezone
According to the docs I should now be able to reference it when
calling my email script using...
$_CONTACTTIMEZONE$
but this just gives me a dollar ($) character.

I've also tried these...
$CONTACTTIMEZONE$
$_CONTACT_TIMEZONE$
$NAGIOS__CONTACTTIMEZONE$
but they all gave me that same result.

What could I be doing wring?
