Betreff: [Nagios-users] nrpe on ESX Server?
Dear List
i have a problem to get nrpe work on an esx server. On the nagios box nrpe-2.81 is installed on the esx server nrpe-2.81b
So checks from the nagios box to the esx server works correctly.
./check_nrpe -H XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX -c check_disk1 -n
DISK OK - free space: / 3269 MB (70% inode=90%);| /=1398MB;4898;4908;0;4918
but no values are written in the webinterface only this message
Datastore size CRITICAL 28-07-2008 12:53:11 0d 2h 16m 23s 4/4 (Service Check Timed Out)
and the esx server log show me this
Jul 28 12:42:10 vmware nrpe[4716]: Could not read request from client, bailing out...
So i did a lot of things recompile nrpe, use an older version like 2.12 an so on but i can´t find a solution for the above error message. Any idea what i´m missing or what i´m doing wrong.
Mit freundlichem Gruß / Best regards
