Monitoring for Stale AIX Processes with Nagios ?

Hello,
We have AIX 5.3 running on our production servers and the way things are setup we need to make sure there are no STALE processes on the box, by STALE I mean any idle process that has been running for more than 5 hours. Sure we can monitor this with topas -P and have a terminal session open at all times but this is not ideal.
Does anyone know of a script or a way to accomplish this? Even if we would need to write a script/cron job to get the job done?
Any help is appreciated and thank you.
