How do I monitor a specific log message?

No, That didn't occur to me till now.
Ok, Lets suppose I mount my path on samba and cat the result with cat and
grep. How do I put this onto nagios?
And there is a problem here... This should return and OK or NOT OK for
example. I'm still clueless about how to do that.
