Problems getting data from remote host with nrpe

I do have the host enabled in the config file. How do I enable debugging
for nrpe?

Did you permit the host in nrpe.cfg allowed_hosts? NRPE should be  
logging something in messages/syslog. If not, you can enable debug  
mode and see what's going on.
