dynamic ip

well in my case i did not have an dynamic dns.
I wrote perl script to get this information and write on /etc/hosts

Hosts with dynamic IP addresses can be monitored by their hostname, 
provided you run dynamic dns updates. I know winbindd (not misspelled, 
part of the samba suit) can be used to resolve hostnames for a windows 
network, but I've never tried it so you're on your own with that.
