Macros availability 1.4.1

Nagios related Questions:

 

1.	Why are there so few macros available in the 1.4.1 release vs.
the 2.5 release?
2.	Is there any reason why the alert history is not written to the
Nagios database in the 1.4.1 (1.x branch)?
3.	Why does the 1.x branch have database support, but only updates
a single row in most of the tables? 

 

I am currently trying to keep a history of events as they occur and need
to expose the information in the form of a database. 

 

Nagios 1.4.1 already has a database backend which saves me allot of
time, but not all the data is written to the database
