NSCA 2.7 not working in single-process mode (bug)

I reported this on this mailing list many months ago (I think it was just
after the 2.6 release), and I believe 2.4 was affected as well.

I'll be happy to have it working. If it works I'll soon post a patch to add
a foreground switch so that it can be run with daemontools
(http://cr.yp.to/daemontools.html). This is how I'd like it working on my
boxes :)
