The normal way to contribute is to write a patch (unified diff, or
better a git diff), describe what it is for or what it will solve and
send it to this list. It'll be reviewed, tested and if it's good it will
be applied.

It might be helpfull to keep track of the issues if you can submit a
tracker issue on http://tracker.nagios.org.
In that way we can discuss your ideas on the list and take the
discussion results over to the tracker.
