Oddly enough I do not see the fork() errors. Perhaps assuming that (open
files/procs cap) was the problem has got me looking in the wrong places.
All things are pointing to some sort of cap somewhere tho. However, now
the ulimit caps seem to be raised the problem still persists.
I reviewed the document you linked, checked that I was using the changes
they suggested (had to tweak the perl settings) but have still been
unable to resolve the 127 error without reducing the number of checks
(currently 4k passive, 200 active) below 2780ish.
