<pre wrap="">Hi Michael,
thank you for the fast answer. After looking at documentation I set up
retail_nonstatus_informatoin=0 in my Host Template.
I've looked at the retension.dat, but there still standing the name before changing Alias Value.

afaik that setting does not affect the attributes being saved. there
was a patch in svn as proposed fix just in 3.2.2 - i've already
removed that in icinga 1.3.x because it's annoying and buggy. <br>

Do you know the changes between Nagios 3.2.1 and Nagios 3.2.3 in the retension Part? With nagios 3.2.1 everything working fine for moving files to the Database...

<br>
try the attached git diff as patch against 3.2.3 sources and verify
the updates from the original configs being imported/updated into
the database. there has been a discussion on various lists and
forums about that, but since that ran as "feature fix" into the
core, there might be a problem removing that in upstream of nagios.<br>

Betreff: NDO 1.4b7 - nagios_hosts Field Aliases in Configtype 1
Hi Nagios Devel List,
I hope I'm right at that list. I cannot find a seperate List for the NDOUtils
Historically we need to use NDO 1.4b7 - please don't ask why I'm using it.
Since the Nagios Update from 3.2.1 to 3.2.3 the Host Alias in table nagios_hosts Configtype 1 will not updated if I change the Alias in the Configuration. I've looked at the broker.c and broker.h Code but the only difference I found, was that a variable in 3.2.3 is int instead of void.
Has anybody of you an idea how to fix the issue, that the nagios_hosts.alias on configtype 1 will be updated on Nagios restart?
</pre>
</blockquote>
<pre wrap="">
look for retention.dat and the host alias savings/restoring during a
core restart. this is not related to ndo itsself, other topics target
that feature/issue too.
