Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
An easy way of resetting the results of passive service checks such as
SNMP traps is to
1 In the definition of the service choose a command such as check_ping
that although it will never be executed normally by Nagios, will always
return OK (you may have to adjust the command parameters if the trap
generating host is remote)
2 Force a check of that service.
Only in that case will Nagios run the service check command (ping).
Yours sincerely.

continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a

me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know
for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee...'
