Ummm....the easy way? Spend the $100 bucks and buy a real modem....Something thats not windows specific....
Evan Mann <emann at questinc.org> wrote: Now that I know what I need to do, I'm in the proces sof trying to get a Lucent LT Modem to work. I've compiled my own LTModem drivers and insmod lt_modem and when I insmod lt_serial I get: Using /lib/modules/2.4.19/ltmodem/lt_serial.o
/lib/modules/2.4.19/ltmodem/lt_serial.o: init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters So it wants me to specify IO and IRQ in the options for the lt_serial or lt_modem module? Not sure where to do from here. Can anyone help?-----Original Message-----

Yes, I use qpage, nextel use the TAPS protocol....
Evan Mann <emann at questinc.org> wrote: I currently have 2 levels of alerts setup, the initials emails and an all
host group escalation which is an email alert to a nextel phone.
I'd like to add a 3rd level which is a modem based alert to a Nextel phone.
Does anyone have a modem based alert to Nextel's that they are dealing
with? I'd like some input how how they deal with this. I am unsure if
Nextel has an # specifically for automated paging, so if I assume they
don't, I can have it simply call and just leave dead silence on the phone
and I just check the caller id and know that particular # it's calling from
is only for my alerts. This seems very lacking however. Any advice would
be appreciated.
