performance data from plugins - does it exist?

Well it depends on what server u r going to graph.
Novell, use mrtgext at http://www.cae.wisc.edu/~drews/mrtg/ it has the perl
script with it for mrtg.
On linux, u can use http://www.bursztein.net/prog/stat/index.html or
http://www.geek.net.au/mrtg.html this does not need snmpd.
On NT u can use this reference http://snmpboy.msft.net/
I am currently just graphing novell server connections, memory , and cisco
router traffic etc.
I also use mrtg WITH nagios to do traffic checking. I have a T1 that likes
to fill up with p2p traffic. Nagios keep a look at the mrtg log to see if
the traffic goes over 90% for 5 minute avg. Works like a charm. (boss also
likes the graphs)....

Hello Michael,
You say, you use mrtg, but you must have a script to parse the
performance data file, no ?
As say Jo, if you have time to explain a bit it will be cool ;)
And perhaps complete the FAQ because it seems that it's an important
question that a lot of people ask or just think about it
Little question, why mrtg and not rrdtool ?
Thanks
Tom
