For future reference:
Problems with NSClient writing 5 errors to Application Event Log every 5
seconds and Fix.

That's windows, after all... its reactions cannot be predicted ;-)

The idea... well... I was tempted to suggest you to reboot (I guess it'd
have the same effect), but you've said something about not wanting to
'tamper' with the machine ;-)

Anyhow, I think it'd be a good idea to forward all our 'discussion' to
the user's mailing list ... it can help others in the future.
