Yet Another "Icons don't show up" Question

Hi,

As far as i see, I am not alone with the problem, having no icons displayed.

To tell the truth i got it working a while ago, since then there were 
different upgrades/changes on the server, and no chance to do alles backwards
to find out which change is guilty for the questionmarks instead of the
images in my statusmap.
In the frame source i still get the well-known unkown.gif as image-src.

There must be a solution, though I didn't find it in the listarchives... 

any help is appreciated.

I tried to convert them new as well with pngtogd2. No change.
