Hi Jim
I had (oops) one nameserver configured in my /etc/resolv.conf. And it is a valid address. I have updated it to contain more nameservers now, placing others before the one I had. The response is still the same.
BTW, why do you say that DNS might be the problem? In my configs I specify ip's for my host addresses, not fully qualified domain names. Do the cgi's try to resolve those ip's?
