notification clarification

I understand for the host. What I am looking for is the services.....What I
run into is the server is up and running during a maintenance window, and
the checked service is still down. What I am trying to eleviate the the
need to replicate a service check definition for a host within a
"hostgroup", because it has a different reboot schedule than the other hosts
in the hostgroup.
If I could make the checked service definition notification_period dependent
upon the host notification_period that would be great.
Thanks,
Lane

Here's an option that I use. Define two new timeperiods and use them in
your hosts file with the appropriate hosts.

Subject: [Nagios-users] notification clarification
I am trying to set balckout periods for notifications for
services........Lets say I have a hostgroup of Exchange servers and half
are
rebooted on tuesday and the other half on friday. Do I have to create
two
service entries for the different reboot times, for the monitored
services?
Or is there a way I can make the services "notification_period"
dependent on
the host "notification_period"?
Thanks for any help,
Lane
