using qpage

Ok, I've got qpage installed and working on my RH8.0 box... sort of.

If I type..

#qpage -p admin hello

I get a message saying that it cannot connect to the SNPP server on
"localhost": connection refused

However if I do...

#qpage -i -p admin hello

the page goes through.

Also I had to modify the permission on my /var/lock dir to 777 to get it
to work (shotgun approach).  I'm a little concerned that this may be a
bad thing to do.

Now assuming that I get all the glitches worked out of qpage, how do I
then begin sending nagios notification using qpage?  I suppose I need to
add some code to misccommands.cfg?
