Services.cfg definition options

Hello all,

  Is there a way to simplify service definitions for multiple hosts?  I have
about 3 dozen hosts that just need a ping check for now, and I was wondering
if i have to seperately define a service for each host, or if I can just
list out either the host_names or host_groups.  I know that I can use a
template for everything else, I just dont want to do a define service
definition for each host_name.  Any help will be highly appreciated.  Thanks
