Yes, you can use MRTGEXT from
http://forge.novell.com/modules/xfmod/project/?mrtgext
<http://forge.novell.com/modules/xfmod/project/?mrtgext>  with
check_nwstat.c.
 
Use the version of the latter from nagios plugins CVS for a few checks I've
added:
