hmmm....
I just got another of these myself and the problem was the
allowed_hosts=x.x.x.x
setting in the /usr/local/nagios/etc/nrpe.cfg file that was still "127.0.0.1" ...

Hello,
On my hosts I solved this issue by mutaly connecting
the hosts using ssh and accepting the certificate when asked.
In that way I got the initial certificates.
