YES!!! - apan done!

To Whom It May Concern: after all the pain I had to go through to get this 
apan figured out (in the context of a proprietary MDK9.1 RPM installs for 
nagios), the last straw was color (getting the same for both variables). I 
finally figured that one out: I changed the start value for N in 
generate.cgi, from 0 to 1, just prior to the last for loop - and bingo: two 
colors for two variables!

Thanks again to all who helped me during this process. My plan - next - is to 
clean up the docs I created in the process, and post them for other Mandrake 
users willing to install nagios using RPMs, with the most weird directory 
structure I have ever seen.
