Nagios & MySQL & Extended infos

I configured Nagios with MySQL and everything works perfect. 
I was now trying to configure apan in order to enhance. Now, apan
recommends to put the extended infos in the services file...but Nagios
doc says that if DB support is on it will ignore those objects.
My next question now is, is there an easy way to insert information into
the Extended Infos table ?
Please don't tell me that I have to do : insert into lallala :)
