A Dwarf Error suggests it is your binutils or gcc at fault, not the
libraries.

rpm -q gcc
rpm -q binutils

I suspect you need to update your binutils.

If you have updated to gcc3.1 from 2.95 you might not be able to download a
redhat rpm for 7.3, im not sure.
