I'm a Windows admin for around 60% of my time here. And to tell you
the truth, I'm very reluctant to install Active Perl on all of our
Windows boxes just to be able to use a new version of NSClient. Not
that I don't trust Perl to do the job, but it's just too much of a
hassle and a lot of work.

True. But still, it must be something easy to use and to deploy in
large environments. And then the only option is using a binary, the
way it is done now.
