Matthew,
Thanks for your response. I executed the rrdtool graph <.....> command as the webuser and did get a bunch of funky characters scrolling by.
I did manage to at least get the graphs, x-y axis with no data plotted to appear by playing with the "COLS=" line in the apan.defs file. But now I get a lot of the following messages:
/usr/local/nagios/sbin/apan.cgi: line 34: #00ff00: command not found
/usr/local/nagios/sbin/generate.cgi[16]: #00ff00: not found.
/usr/local/nagios/sbin/generate.cgi[16]: #00ff00: not found.
/usr/local/nagios/sbin/generate.cgi[16]: #00ff00: not found.
and
/usr/local/nagios/apan/apan.sh[11]: #00ff00: not found.
Obviously the second color is being misinterpreted as some other value/command, etc.
It may be like a previous email mentioned (Chan Chee Seng) about the sourcing of the apan.defs file. But I'm not sure how to get past this problem. Also I'm not sure that the rrd file is really being updated or added too:
