I'm considering setting up a Nagios 1.1 system that includes failover
monitoring. I wanted to use the mysql backends (yes I'm aware native
support is going away in 2.0) for the status and log data. My question is:
If the 'backup' Nagios server has nagios running, but isn't executing any
active checks or being fed any passive checks, will it continue to update
the status table? Both Nagios instances would be pointing to the same DB.
Thanks,
