HELP...pngtogd2 CAN NOT WORK

Hello all : 

i've tried to use pngtogd2 to change my .png file format to .gd2 using follow command:

pngtogd2  F5.png  F5.gd2   0   1

but F5.gd2 can not show up by statusmap....only show a "question mark"

i've search FAQ and mailing list....someone using  pngtogd2 xxx.png xxx.gd2  0   1  that CAN WORK....

any problem about my case ??? any solution???
