Get an error in ./configure

./configure says :

checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH
bash-2.03$ echo $PATH
/opt/local/envSys/bin:/opt/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/ucb:/usr/ccs/bin:.:.
bash-2.03$ type cc
cc is /usr/ucb/cc
bash-2.03$ uname -a
SunOS xxxxx 5.8 Generic_108528-15 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-80

What's wrong ?
