Service Execution Problem

I'm trying to get Service Dependencies working.  I have set up a single
dependency as follows:

define servicedependency{
        host_name			dalnt05
        service_description		check-host-alive
        dependent_host_name		dalnt05
        dependent_service_description	Disk_Space-C
        execution_failure_criteria	w,u,c
        notification_failure_criteria	n
        }

I don't want Disk_Space-C to be run if check-host-alive fails.  Have I
got this set up correctly?

If so, it doesn't work.  The Disk_Space-C check still runs if
check-host-alive fails.

I've also set soft_state_dependencies=1
