NSCA question

I am trying to set up distributed monitoring using nsca but I am having some
trouble.  I am not able to pipe any output to the send_nsca command so
nothing is sent to the central server.  Any ideals?  I compiled it
successfully on FreeBSD.  

 

/bin/echo -e "test\ttest\ttest\ttest\n" | send_nsca -H 192.168.1.13 -c
send_nsca.cfg

0 data packet(s) sent to host successfully.
