Phu,
You've got it working! The OK - dummy login connected means that Oracle is
available (hence return code 0). Try shutting the database down and retry
the command. Should give a return code 2 and a descriptive error message.

Hi Friends,
Have any one use check_oracle plug-in that came with nagios plug-in? I think
this plug-in is not doing a good job checking oracle database. Have any one
has any experience with this plug-in? I tried check_oracle -login
<ORACLE_SID> then it return "OK - dummy login connected". This doesn't make
any sense to me. Can any one help me?
