Hi,
I'm using Nagios since more than one year, it works perfectly, but now i'm in trouble.
I'm trying to do the following :
check during H24, but report informations only on a (more) short period.
The only way to achieve this goal is I guess the using of downtime scheduled.
I tested during a few time, a new service, and resultats that I obtain with avaibility report looks me so strange :
objective:
***********
be able to read/compute OK, WARNING, CRITICAL, UNKNOWN duration out of downtime period; Nagios downtime is only a tool to achieve my goal...
context :
*********
one-day test.
downtime schedule : from 17:00 to 17:20
service "downed" manually :
from 16:43 to 16:46 (so, out of scheduled downtime)
from 17:08 to 17:24 (ie, 11'29" in the downtime periode, and 4 min out of it)
result :
********
the total of "critical time" is OK ( 29' 9")
nothing on "schedule critical" line...
the total of "ok time" is OK ( 1h 47' 47")
but the split between schedule and unschedule is a big mistery for me (unscheduled : 1h36'17 ; schedule : 11'29)
the total of "critical time" during the downtime (11'29" ) is not indicate in "schedule critical", but in "schedule OK" . strange, no ?
and It's not possible to compute that duration (11'29) with other element... !!
my questions
****************
why the "schedule critical" line is empty ?
How the unscheduled/scheduled OK lines are filled ?
supplemental
****************
Nagios 1.1 (no change for avail.cgi is reported in the Nagios 1.2 changelog)
If you need more informations, i'll be very pleased to send them to you.
Regards,
