Wonderful, Andreas! Thank you very much. I've forgot to check the return value of the plugin.
And about sudo, I've made all programs on this machine related to nagios only allowed to be run by the nagios user. As I have to log on as my user, using sudo and run them by root was the easiest way to get the output. ;-)

... why sudo?
If you try 'echo $?' after having run the plugin you'll get the
exit-status of it. Not all of them make use of warning messages in output.
