Custom plugin question

Ladies and Gents,
	
	I have a custom script that does a vital function check.  It works
great, and returns one value or the other.  Where do I specify and tie these
return values to OK/PAGE state in Nagios (1.2).   I have read the plugin
docs, however don't find the answer there.
