Getting UNKNOWN status on an HP-UX 10.20 machine

Hi there,

One of our HP-UX 10.20 machines recently had its hard drive replaced and I
reloaded the nrpe client onto it. The client is version 1.8
and is the depot file that I downloaded from www.bennyvision.com. The client was
installed and after all configurations were made
on the client and the server side both were restarted. 

The problem that I observed was that although the client appeared to be up, all
services that I was checking were coming back with
an UNKNOWN status and Status Information field showed garbage within it. Listed
below is a screen capture of what I am seeing.

One course of action I was thinking of doing was to uninstall the nrpe client
from the 10.20 workstation and then reinstall
it. Does anyone have any other ideas that I should try before proceeding?
