Nagios and Cacti

I use nagios + cricket with alerts passing from cricket -> nagios. I
originally evaluated using Cacti, but the flexibility and scalability of
cricket was better suited to our environment.
Though I'm not familiar with any alerting capabilities in Cacti, if it has a
threshold alerting mechanism as cricket does, then you should be able to
pass information between the servers using nsca. Otherwise you can use
check_rrd to do a similar job.

If anyone has a solution to share the data between cacti and nagios I'm also
interested of the solution. We also use Nagios for monitoring and Cacti for
traffic statistic.
Greats
Thomas
