I am a newbie to Nagios and am learning so much as I go along...it is a neat
package.
My installation is:
RedHat AS 2.1
Nagios v.1.2
Nagmin v.2.1
Apan v.0.3.0-sql
My two questions break down as thus:
1. I am trying to get icons to show up on my Nagios pages, I have applied
the extended host template and extended host information settings via Nagmin
and I can see the icons on the Nagmin screens, but when I activate the
configuration the icons don't show up. The icons are in the images/logos/
directory and it has the same perms as the rest of the Nagios installation.
Does anyone have ideas? Do you need more information than I have given? If
so please let me know.
and
2. I have apan configured (I am pretty sure anyways) and I have followed the
documentation that came with Apan. I have created a check command and
filled in the service extended information fields. I can run the link in
the url from a browser so I know it is functional but....a) the icon doesn't
show up (because of question #1 above) and b) when the link comes up there
are no images shown. The actual question here is....how do I get rrdtool to
generate the graphs using the information that the apan-ping check command
is generating? Are there any Apan howto's or tutorials out there besides
the one that came from Apan.
I appreciate any and all assistance with these. I can be reached here on
the list or by e-mail at paul.fiero at ci.austin.tx.us.
