Windows event Logs

Better yet, one where you can specify which errors you do or don't want
to get notified for.  Windows Servers have a tendency to log errors for
some whacked out crap that isn't really an error sometimes.

    thanks for everyones help in my Sendmail problem. I have connected
the dots and all is working great. 
 
    Is there a program that will monitor Windows event logs and send a
alert of it finds a error? If so Where can I find it. I already have
nsclient up and running.

As long as you have dns working on the nagios box just start sendmail
(service sendmail start) and it will find your mail server to deliver
any messages. Otherwise, in your /etc/mail/sendmail.mc file there is a
smarthost directive where you can point sendmail to relay all mail tot
he desgnated smart host. VI the file and it is documented on how to do

    I come from the windows world and I can't connect the dots between
how nagios sends the email and sendmail is suppose to deliver the email.
can someone point me in the right direction. I want the nagios emails
sent through my exchange server (SMTP) and then my Exchange server. I
know what I want but not sure where to start in getting that to work. I
guess sendmail is what I need to setup. I have no adeal where to start.
I've modified sendmail conf files with failed results. Do i need ip masq
for this?
