nagios and modem notification

    What software should I use to get a modem to dial me for a problem. I
have it now setup for email which will send a text message to my phone. Now
I need so kind of external communication. Just a modem dialing up with a
series of beeps will be ok. I'm using Red hat 9.0. Anyone's help is
appreciated
