Why pending never comes back?

Hi Sirs,

I am facing the following problem:

I check_ping my box. If check_ping is OK then I check all other 
services. I did that using dependencies.

When my box is DOWN, all other services are not checked anymnore.  So far
ok. The problem is that, the last status gathered from the services do
not change. I know that Nagios show us, in the interface, that the last
check was long ago, when the box was OK. But that make things confusing!

I think that the more intuitive solution would be returning services 
status to Pending, and stop showing that it's OK (since it's not 
OK, it's dePENDING on something else to be checked).
