Can I use the NSCA program to schedule downtime from a remote host? What I want to do is put something in /etc/rc.shutdown on systems to send a notification of downtime of 10 minutes. This will allow us to not get notified for scheduled reboots, or manual reboots of servers, but will pickup systems that go down hard or are down for longer that the 10 minute window.

If NSCA can't do this how can I accomplish this? I don't want to have a set schedule for each host as most don't reboot on a schedule.

Matt
