Hallo,
I have hierarchic moninitoring up and running except for host checks
results.
The docs (http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/1_0/distributed.html) says
that there are ways, but beyond the scope ...
I thought I could use nsca (or patch it) to submit this but don't know
how. Even in the external command file reference, I see command
PROCESS_SERVICE_CHECK_RESULT to submit passive service check results but
can't see anything like PROCESS_HOST_CHECK_RESULTS I could use to submit
host checks.
Another idea was to write host check plugin, that would read e.g. the
ping service status of the host from the database and take it as host
check result.
I would really love to have distributed nagios with working host checks
and correct DOWN/UNREACHABLE informaion.
Any tips/ideas?
Regards,
