Status Information wrong?

Hi!

I use f.e. Check Ping 

check_ping!100.0,20%!500.0,60%   


This returns only the Status 'UNKNOWN' although i disconnected the cable from the host (which i check)
Any option to change this Status?? So theres an output called DOWN ??

At Host check i see the Host Status DOWN but only get a information PROBLEM
